DIVERSITY AWARENESS AND LEADERSHIP WORKSHOPS


Diversity Awareness Training. Sessions represent an introduction to diversity awareness and leadership in organizations. Emphasis is placed on understanding and valuing differences between individuals and groups. Techniques regarding building strengths through differences are explored as well as their impact on effective and efficient operation in an increasingly diverse environment. The focus is on inclusiveness and broadening participation of various group members. These are offered in 4-hour and 8-hour sessions and provide participants with an overview of diversity and pertinent issues.

Recommended Number of Participants: 35-40
Professional Fee: Four-hour session - $1,000.00, Eight-hour session - $2,000.00



Diversity Leadership Training. Sessions focus on managing and supervising in diverse environments. Emphasis is given to techniques and strategies that enhance the ability of managers to successfully operate with people from various backgrounds. Additionally, assigning management responsibility and receiving buy-in from employees is addressed. This session is presented in a 4-hour interactive format.

Diversity Assessment. This involves developing, administering, and analyzing diversity questionnaires completed by organization employees or clients. Focus group data collection can also be used. A comprehensive profile of the organization's diversity climate is created through this process. This allows for the targeted development of diversity awareness and management training.

Diversity Strategic Planning. These sessions provide participants with a diversity leadership overview, planning strategy, and guidance for broadening participation from individuals from diverse groups. Identifying key diversity issues, developing a planning process, and beginning diversity strategic planning will be discussed. The length is 4 hours.

Professional Fee: Beginning at $2,000.00


Planning and Taskforce Facilitation. This involves working with the company's diversity taskforce and facilitating the development of a comprehensive assessment of workforce diversity issues. The goal is to create a cooperative atmosphere and bring various organizational elements together across a number of social and economic dimensions. The evaluation of workforce diversity issues will provide a foundation for expanding diversity awareness and management as well as improve inter-group/inter-personal communications. Expected outcomes include a five-year planning document for accomplishing workforce diversity goals, generating solutions to a variety of diversity issues, and creating recommendations for upper management within the organization for improving the diversity environment as it relates to workforce issues.
